Kia Tasman Correction Kit

CarVibe Correction Kit - Kia Tasman X-Pro

The project aims to address the truck's most polarizing design elements through non-destructive modifications, bypassing expensive factory sheet-metal changes. The design study arrives as the Tasman struggles to meet sales targets, prompting price reductions and recent admissions from Kia global executives that short-term styling countermeasures are under consideration. However, unlike a facelift that requires time and a significant investment in retooling, the “Correction Kit” could reach the market faster either in the form of a Kia-backed locally-developed special edition, or as an aftermarket solution for existing and future Tasman owners.

The “Correction Kit” includes a series of targeted styling updates:Fender Extensions: Custom body-colored panels conceal the factory’s horizontal dark plastic "eyebrow" fenders while masking unutilized side portions of the headlight housings. Their rounded contours blend seamlessly with the original bodywork and “Opposites United” design philosophy to deliver a muscular and cohesive stance.Grille-Mounted LEDs: A reconfigured grille framework integrates three horizontal LED illumination bars on each side. These auxiliary elements establish an imposing lighting signature while unifying the fragmented layout of the stock nose.Surface Continuity: The package features body-colored finishes for the front and rear bumper corners alongside matching taillight surrounds. These elements work in tandem with matte black hood and roof decals which hide the factory horn-shaped nose trim, visually extending the black areas on the grille and skid plate.

CarVibe has applied the proposed updates across multiple Tasman configurations using digital renderings. The white model showcases an adventure-ready flagship X-Pro variant equipped with off-road accessories. The silver example presents the fleet-oriented 4x2 Dual Cab workhorse with steel wheels and unpainted bumpers. The matte black execution visualizes the same model with GT-Line alloy wheels, while the red truck applies the package on a Single Cab configuration.CarVibe is actively seeking partnerships with local engineering firms, tuners, and suppliers to transition this kit from concept to production.
